First Aid Training Course - First Aid at Work - Re-qualification

Acorn's course is aimed at Those who have previously attended, and successfully completed, the 3 day FAW course (with any recognised provider) who need to re-qualify. Proof of Certification will need to be provided.

First Aid at Work - Re-qualification

Course Objective Participants will develop the skills necessary to become a competent and confident ‘First Aider’ in the work place and will be awarded a ‘First Aid at Work (FAW)’ certificate valid for 3 years.

  • Personal hygiene and infection control
  • Unconsciousness
  • Resuscitation
  • Management of choking casualty
  • Bleeding and shock
  • Major an minor illnesses
  • Fractures
  • Burns and scalds
  • Poisoning and eye injuries

At the end of this course the participant will undertake a theory and practical assessment carried out by independent assessors. They will be required to demonstrate proficiency in the theoretical and practical aspects of unconsciousness, resuscitation and the control of bleeding.
