Acorn's course is suitable for all members of staff who require a basic understanding of COSHH and Infection control.

Course Objective	Delegates will achieve a good understanding of current COSHH and infection control practices for their individual needs.
Content	COSHH training element covers: Definition of hazardous substances Legal aspects of COSHH Identifying hazardous substances Completing a substance inventory COSHH Risk assessments (can provide paperwork if required) Case study Infection Control training element covers: Current facts and figures on Infection control setting Universal precautions (gloves, aprons, over sleeves etc) Practical hand washing exercise How infection spreads and a review of working practices The roles and responsibilities of everyone in reducing the Spread of infection MRSA
