Courses for staff working in health and social care

People on Training Session - Acorn Health and Safety, Bristol NHS and Social Care Training Course We have been a specialist contractor to the NHS and Social Services since day one.

At Acorn we know and understand the needs of health and social care organisations and their staff teams unlike many generalist training providers. Our qualified and experienced staff team have considerable experience in health care settings and their specialist skills as nurse educators, critical care specialists, mental health and community nursing.

You will notice that many of our existing courses are already very much focused on the needs of our NHS and our Social Services customers - click here to see our full list - but in addition we provide training which is specific to the NHS and Social Care Sectors.

By way of example we regularly run a one day training course that covers statutory/mandatory elements of the NHS and Social Care Settings. Typically these courses will include basic life support, fire and manual handling, however they can be adapted to reflect individual needs.
