Free Anaphylaxis Training Seminar for Schools 9th October 2017

From 1st October 2017, the Human Medicines (Amendment) Regulations 2017 will now allow schools in the UK to keep spare adrenaline auto injectors (AAI’s) for emergency use.  This recent change allows schools the discretionary power to hold an AAI to be used for children who are already identified as being at risk of anaphylaxis if they wish.

To help schools understand what this change in legislation means, Acorn Health and Safety are running a number of FREE anaphylaxis x2 hour seminars on Monday 9th October 2017.

Please complete the registration details below if you would like to attend one of our seminars. Please note places are limited to a maximum of two persons per school.

The seminars will be held at our Training Centre:

Acorn Health and Safety Ltd
Tower Lane

    • An introduction to different types of AAI
    • Current Department for Education guidance
    • Meeting the needs of a child with Anaphylaxis in the school environment

    • Question and answer session

Sarah is a Registered Nurse and Acorn’s medication lead and regularly advises schools on their medication policy, provides medication training and has first-hand experience of supporting patients with anaphylaxis within a critical care environment.
