Acorn Health and Safety e learning online training

Due to difficulties and concerns due to the pandemic and with a significant amount of health & safety training courses being suited or tailored to the health sector and other sectors with essential workers – training and health & safety courses have been more difficult to conduct these training courses in person. With some courses being physical in nature or requiring demonstrations, this challenged us to create online variants of some of our courses. Not only is it vital for us to provide these courses online to our clients, but we also ensure that all of our online courses are offered with the same professionalism and exceptional standards of our on or off-site training courses. The result is an impressive portfolio of both online and offline courses to suit you and your organisation.

This article highlights why online health & safety training courses are so important, the aspects that separate our online training courses from other training courses as well as highlights some of our online courses that provide the same exceptional quality of the training delivered in an online capacity.

Why Are Online Courses So Important?

In the current pandemic – health & safety training may still be required and this means that businesses will still need to have an online alternative for training should staff need or require this. Whether this is because staff work with vulnerable workers and risks need to be reduced or staff do not feel comfortable attending on-site or off-site training, our online courses are suited for individuals, businesses and organisations that need to arrange for health & safety training courses online. This is why we developed our online training courses which are provided to the excellent standards that you would expect during a course that is conducted in person.

How Do Our Courses Differ to Other Online Health & Safety Training?

We have a direct passion for health & safety and our dedicated team of specialists are here to help. Our live streamed training courses have been well received and achieved some fantastic levels of interaction with delegates. Our e-learning course offering has grown significantly in popularity and we are now back providing face to face in house and open course training for all delegates with appropriate controls in place, including a COVID-19 self-declaration form for all delegates and trainers. We endeavour to keep the high standards that are offered with our offline courses and this is extended in our online courses. Presented by fully qualified trainers who are experts in their relevant fields, our established team of consultants and trainers using a variety of different techniques including presentation, breakout groups, Q+A and completion of worksheets.

Course Highlight – Our Manual Handling Load Training Online Course

Our online manual handling load training course ensures that we can demonstrate the practical elements of manual handling without having the need for delegates to be present. This is unique in terms of online learning because of the fact that we can demonstrate safe techniques and good practice and this can then be used by individuals, organisations and businesses to help protect delegates and avoid serious issues such as musculoskeletal injury. Our online course is still the same great training and we endeavour and ensure that we reach the same levels of interaction of our courses that are delivered in person. We stream the training via Zoom and provide delegates with all of the materials that they need electronically before they begin their training.

Course Highlight – Online Fire Marshal and Fire Warden Training – FIRE03

For those that want to take on the role of a fire warden or fire marshal at their organisation, our online fire marshal training course is available for those that need this type of training and certification and do not or cannot attend training in person. We will again provide all of the course materials that are required and all that delegates need are a suitable device such as a laptop, iPad or similar to allow you to join the Zoom call. We have adapted to provide the above in an online capacity in a highly interactive and informative session.  We use PowerPoint presentations, breakout groups and rooms, video clips to demonstrate the safe and effective use of portable fire fighting appliances and allow plenty of time to answer any questions specific to your workplace.
