Fire can be devastating and happen at anytime and Christmas is no exception.

It can be such a magical time. Your home could be full of people and in all the excitement, where accidents can very easily happen.

The impact of ANY fire can be devastating. During the pandemic, having to cope with the devastating impact of a fire would be the last thing anyone needs. Fire kills. Fact. In 2018-19 fire and rescue services attended 182,491 fires in England; 48% without smoke alarms and these fires killed 285 people and injured 6,271.

The highest degree of management control is needed to ensure that all fire protection arrangements are effective, and staff actions in an emergency are clearly understood and implemented.

Each year, the costs as a consequence of fire, including property damage, human casualties and lost business, are estimated at over £9 billion. The costs of a serious fire can be high; 1 in 7 businesses cease to trade following a significant fire.

By following some sensible precautions, such as checking fairy lights for obvious signs of damage and keeping decorations and cards away from fires and other heat sources such as light fittings. everyone can switch on safely and sparkle! And don’t forget to buy batteries for toys that need them – that way you won’t be tempted to remove batteries from smoke alarms.

We offer various Fire Safety courses. We take the time to gain an understanding of your fire safety requirements and practices in your organisation to ensure we provide meaningful and relevant fire safety training.

Our courses can include the practical use of fire extinguishers and the demonstration of the use of Fire Extinguishers and Fire blankets in a ‘live fire’ situation through our environmentally friendly propane gas training rig to simulate a variety of different fire types.

Courses will provide knowledge of legal requirements, risk assessments and hazards associated with fire, together with the causes and chemistry of fire and evacuation requirements. Delegates will have the opportunity to discuss issues specific to their workplace throughout the course they are attending.
