There have been some changes since our last update; It is now a strong recommendation that secondary school pupils wear face coverings in classrooms.

As well as this change, If you have tested positive or have symptoms, you can now stop self-isolating after 7 days instead of 10 days if you have 2 negative lateral flow test results on day 6 and 7 (taken at least 24 hours apart).  Fully vaccinated contacts of someone with COVID-19 should now also take rapid lateral flow tests every day for 7 days.

Children aged 12 to 15 can now get their second vaccine dose if it’s been more than 12 weeks since their first vaccine dose.

You do now need to show your NHS COVID Pass at nightclubs, some other venues and large events to show you’re fully vaccinated, have had a negative test result in the last 48 hours, or that you have an exemption.

The standard ‘new normal’ guidance applies of course; Wear a face covering in most indoor public places and on public transport, work from home (if you can), let fresh air in if you meet indoors and of course, meeting outdoors is safer and get tested and self-isolate if required.

Please ensure your Covid Risk Assessments are up to date and reflect of all of the new measures to ensure everyone stays safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We are still providing face to face training at our covid secure training site in Warmley however we appreciate that some staff members and employers may be anxious about attending face to face training.
