Health & Safety Training and Consultancy
At Acorn we have a passion for health and safety and our dedicated and experienced team are here to help. Located in Bristol and working across the South West and beyond over 18,000 delegates and 350 businesses attend our courses or use our consultancy services every year.
We are still working hard, continuing to support businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our live streamed training courses have been well received and achieved some fantastic levels of interaction with delegates. Our e-learning course offering has grown significantly in popularity and we are now back providing face to face in house and open course training for all delegates with appropriate controls in place, including a COVID-19 self-declaration form for all delegates and trainers.
You can find a copy of our completed Covid-19 Risk Assessment here (Version 7 – Last updated November 2020)
In addition to training we are working with a wide range of businesses supporting their return to the workplace and equally those continuing to work from home. This includes undertaking various audits, including COVID-19 risk assessment and advising on appropriate control measures, reassuring staff and COVID-19 audits to review the effectiveness of the controls in place. All audits are carried out to comply with government guidance and businesses legal duties.
*IMPORTANT INFORMATION* We have recently revised our guidance regarding the wearing of face masks. From 1st August 2020 it became mandatory to wear face masks during practical elements of the course however delegates may choose to wear a face covering throughout the course. This applies to our First Aid and Manual Handling courses, where 2m social distancing cannot be maintained. If you are attending any of our courses, please can you ensure you bring your own 3 ply face mask (Please see examples of approved mask style below). Fabric masks and face coverings are not acceptable for the practical elements.

“The part of the Level 3 Paediatric Fist Aid training I found most helpful was the CPR section and, understanding it in more depth, it’s really clicked this time! It’s given me confidence and solidified my previous knowledge. I love the focus on simplicity, a great presentation in language I understand.”
“Each and every part of the Asbestos Awareness course showed how ignorant I was concerning asbestos. I will ensure that work done in our premises will be done and recorded properly.”
