Complex Manual Handling needs
At Acorn Health & Safety, we work across a wide range of care environments providing advice and consultancy on the moving and handling of clients with complex handling needs.
“I really enjoyed this course (Level 2 Paediatric First Aid). This is my 3rd time attending and although there were only a few of us, Matt did a thorough job. He made it fun, relevant and we re-capped CPR and everything we had learnt from the 1st session on day 2. This was really beneficial. 10/10″

Our specialist, trained, and knowledgeable moving and handling consultants are registered nurses who pride themselves on adopting a grounded and pragmatic approach.
Acorn Health and Safety’s tailored course programmes are particularly suited to organisations with specific learning outcomes and developed to meet the requirements of the care certificate.
Here at Acorn Health & Safety Ltd, we are pleased to confirm that our Manual Handling of Clients courses, Fire Safety courses and Basic Life Support and AED Training are all aligned to Skills for Health The Core Skills Training Framework (CSTF)
The CSTF allows employers to recognise training to a standard, trust that information and reduce duplication of training. It also gives confidence that training standards have been met and standardises the interpretation of statutory/mandatory or clinical/care training.
The Framework can be used by any healthcare employer in the UK including NHS, independent healthcare providers, bank staff and agency organisations, and educational organisations and ensures the educational relevance of the training and improves the quality and consistency of training provision.
We have considerable experience of assessing clients with complex handling needs whether they reside in a community setting, require advice in preparation for discharge following a stay in hospital, or in response to an incident or adverse event.
Customers come from an equally diverse range of organisations and businesses but choose Acorn because we’ll keep you on the right side of the law, whilst recognising that health and safety needs to compliment your day to day business activities.
