Food Safety – Audits

Food safety audits are an important part of any food business and provide a benchmark against which to measure how your business is performing in terms of legal compliance.

“Trainer was excellent and practical skills opportunities were great (Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid). I feel that I have learnt a lot and am inspired and delve deeper into First Aid due to the trainer. I will bring my new skills back to my work place and ensure I implement necessary changes,

How do we support customers with food safety audits?

Our food safety consultant will initially discuss the process of the audit so that those involve in it know what to expect.  A site visit will take place in order to inspect the documentation that comprises the food safety management system as well as the food storage, preparation and service areas of the business.

Staff members will also be questioned on their roles, responsibilities and understanding of the food safety management system.

What should you expect from Acorn Health & Safety?

Prior to the audit our food safety consultant will discuss with you the process and requirements. Each section of the Food Safety Management System, its processes and procedures, will receive an audit score.

Non-conformance will be identified and given a risk rating and at the end of the audit visit a verbal interim report will be given where any serious issues that require immediate attention will be highlighted.

We will provide you a written report, containing suggested actions, which will be forwarded at a later date to be agreed.

Following any piece of consultancy work we are available by phone or on e-mail, so you can contact us easily, if you need our assistance or further advice.
