Manual Handling E-learning – EL16
Our manual handling e-learning course has been designed to provide employers with a greater awareness of the dangers that poor manual handling poses, as well as covering safe handling techniques, practical solutions to manual handling issues and the use of mechanical aids.
“Trainer was brilliant and delivered the course just right. Good facilities, good location and well organised. Best first aid course I have been on, trainer is fab!”
Why do our customers choose us?
We recognise that e-learning is a cost-effective training method and is becoming an increasingly important part of many organisations training and development activities which is why we now offer a selection of e-learning courses to complement the classroom-based learning we offer on our open courses.
We have consciously chosen a provider whose courses all have external accreditation by nationally recognised organisations, such as the FPA, LCA, ROSPA, and IATP and we like the fact that the training is presented using a blended approach.
Musculoskeletal injury continues to be one of the most common causes of injury at work. To try and combat manual handling problems, the Manual Handling Operations Regulations were introduced. These regulations lay out duties for both employees and employers. They give a general requirement that employees must be trained to manually handle correctly including the use of any equipment their employer provides to handle loads safely.
How do we approach e-learning manual handling training?
E-learning can complement face to face training. For example, a trades business may opt for a face-to-face manual handling training session initially and then refresh those skills in year two by using an e-learning training course.
Training your employees with our online system will go a long way to giving them greater awareness of the dangers that poor manual handling poses, as well as covering safe handling techniques, practical solutions to manual handling issues and the use of mechanical aids.
This course has 6 modules in total and each module concludes with some relevant questions. The pass rate for these questions is 75% and the 6 modules covered are:
- What is manual handling?
- Manual handling regulations
- Safe handling
- Learning safe handling habits
- Practical manual handling solutions
- Use of mechanical aids
Duration: 75 minutes
